I have dropped off the face of the Earth

Just kidding, I really haven't.

Well, unless you count not having stable internet access for the past two days, oh and then that reading slump I slipped into. And then, I've been working my way through a 650 page monstrosity, also known as Dreams of Gods & Monsters.

Honestly, I've been waiting for that book forever, but getting back into it and then being introduced to a lot of characters, is kind of a turn off. And then all the bad things that could potentially happen, UGH I just have this bad feeling about my characters.

Ok, so yeah. Just letting you guys know that I've been moving into my new house for the next school year, and setting up the internet (which was incredibly frustrating, due to tons of technical difficulties and automated voice recordings. No, I actually want to speak to a real person, thank you very much). My internet is still decently slow when connected to wifi, so a new router is needed later in the future. But for now, I'm just glad that I have everything sorted out. It really, really was a pain in the butt.

Later this week, I'll be hopping over to Canada to visit my family in Montreal. OH and also going to Quebec City! I'm not exactly sure what I'll be doing there, but apparently my family has plans.

But for now, I'll just be reading and lurking around other blogs, if internet is accessible. I wish I could be more active, but well, I'm a lump ^_^;;;;

  1. It's fine, dear! Just come back soon when everything is really, really sorted out and you have a lot more free time! I can't believe setting up internet there is a pain :( Here in the Philippines, it's so easy and absolutely stress-free, and they even have free technicians to come over within 24 hours to check out if you have problems they could fix (which is one of those amazing perks, really, because when I was in France for a month, the technician demanded 100 fucking euros for setting up the internet. UHHHH WHAT) In any case, take care and I hope you finish that monster book soon!

    1. Thanks Faye, and yeah, getting it all set up would've been easier, if the tenants before me had properly discontinued the internet services. But since they didn't, there were two overlapping services, and it was just a pain to deal with. I'm just glad it's all over now.

      Annnnnd I finished the monster book! It was really good in the end :D

  2. It's totally okay to be gone from the internet for awhile. Especially for life reasons! Have fun in Canada. :)

  4. Yeah, I miss you a little (just a little though, get over yourself) HAHA. But we'll be seeing each other at the #SandersonCosmere right? I mean, you always have the best response to Faye's twitter discussion questions.

    Anyway, to be honest, I'm a little envious about your travelling. I never really visited any other country.. yet. (I'm planning on becoming a filthy rich woman with a library) So, just have fun! :) And I'm looking forward to your future posts! *hugs*

  5. Yessss. I have the same problems with Dreams of Gods and Monsters. I almost died waiting for the last book to come out, was shocked at how massive it was, felt the need to tie myself so I can read the book without getting distracted and it took me ages to finish it but I swear Val, it pays off in the end. I'm a little bit jealous you get to travel around a lot. Take me with youuuu! Haha! Anyway, I hope everything straightens out in the end. :)
