Stacking the Shelves #7

Stacking The Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews and is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

Bought or from the library:

Elantris by Brandon Sanderson - FOR THE SOCIAL POTATO SANDERSON COSMERE READ-ALONG! :D

Child of a Hidden Sea by A. M. Dellamonica - Had this on hold in the library, and I actually started reading this right after I picked it up. So far, it's pretty good, but a little confusing to understand, especially with all the politics involved. It's also adult fiction.
Landline by Rainbow Rowell - I FINALLY GOT MY HANDS ON THIS. But for some reason, it's in large print? I mean my eyesight is really bad, but I didn't ask for this! LOL

Eona by Alison Goodman - I HAVE THE SEQUEL! Buuuuuut I won't be reading it until I finish all my other library books too. Ugh, I'm so behind, I think I'm going to have to return some for now.

e-ARCs and blog tour books:

Crane: Legends Saga by Stacey Rourke - Part of the blog tour I'm in (I'm allowed to post up blog tour books I've acquired, right? I'm not breaking some sort of bloggy law?)

The Winter People by Rebekah L. Purdy - The cover is definitely intriguing, and I just started it so it's pretty good. I received this ARC from Entangled Publishing, so thank you very much!

Coral & Bone by Tiffany Duane - I THINK THIS ONE IS ABOUT MERMAIDS???? But this is also from Xpresso Book tours :D

So there ya go! This has been my haul for the past three weeks or so, but since I haven't really been reading for said amount of time, these books have just been piling up. Luckily, I have just gotten out of my reading slump! But then again, I only have 12 days to finish my library books, and then I also have a couple of ARCs and blog tours as well.

BUT I BELIEVE! I BELIEVE I WILL SUCCEED!

Oh, and side not, I just watched this not so creepy, but hilarious Japanese horror movie with Faye @ The Social Potato, and I have no regrets. I mean, it was a little weird. Nope, scratch that, super weird. HAHA.

  2. OMG LOOK AT THOSE BEAUTIFUL COVERS. I don't even care what they're about. They are all going on my tbr just purely for cover love. (Yes, I'm shallow like that but pfft, sue me.) Eona is HUGE. o.O And yay for Landline! I'm still tossing whether or not to go for that one.

  3. Good grief, that cover for Coral and Bone is absolutely divine! I'm tempted just to purchase it to stare at it.
I thought only old lady romances came in larger print. How large IS large? Like can read it from across the room kind of print? That's so funny, but I can imagine that it's also incredibly thicker and more heavier now. I wouldn't be reading this one late at night, just incase you doze off and dong yourself in the head :D

Great haul, looking forward to seeing what you think of your fabulous new reads... And large print <3

    1. Yes that cover looks wonderful, too bad I only have it on my kindle!

Yeah, so I just checked and the print is about the same width as my pinky finger. BUT I'm pretty sure it's the same amount of pages, except that there are NO MORE MARGINS between the writing. Other than that, it seems to be the same weight!

    1. Hahah I would give them to you if I could! But I have them all on my kindle, and therefore CAN'T ACTUALLY LOOK AT THE COVERS! It's sad.

  5. These all look pretty good I think, Crane, is the only one I remember seeing previously. Aside from Landline and Eona. Looks like you'll have some fun reviews coming soon!

  6. Those 3 e-arcs are gorgeous all lined up together!! :) I hope you enjoy your new goodies!! Landline was fun to me. Not really what I expected, and I didn't enjoy it quite as much as her YA books, but overall it was a really great book. I don't think Rainbow Rowell could write a bad book. She's awesome. :)

    1. I KNOW. The more I look at them, the better they look! Yeah, I know Landline is more adult-ish and I'm expecting it to be a bit boring compared to her other books, but oh well.

  7. YAY you got Landline, I hope you get to read it soon! I haven't read my copy yet, but I'm looking forward to it. Your eARCs seem to have a wintery vibe, they match each other well hehe! Enjoy your books, Val!

  8. I still haven't read any Rainbow Rowell, and haha, I really hate large print, makes my eyes hurt more than smaller print. Good luck! ;) Happy reading!

  9. I definitely want to read Landline! The large print is funny though. I love the cover of Coral and Bone, I had no idea it was mermaids though! I am pretty curious about it now. Hope you enjoy :)

  11. YAY! You're reading Elantris (duh, I knew that!) and Eona is a pretty good book, too, though I did think it was inferior to its predecessor :P Still a good book just the same.

Those eARCs have really gorgeous covers. Like wow, they're bloody beautiful (CRANE IS SO CREEPILY PRETTY THOUGH). I love the color palettes :D

    1. OF COURSE I'M READING IT! Haha I'm reading Eona now and they're repeated a lot of what's happened in the first book, which is kind of repetitive but still a good reminder. AND YES MY eARCs ARE BEAUTIFUL. Too bad they're only on my kindle.

Also I just saw the cover on Raven (Crane's sequel which is what my blog tour is for), and it has a creepy old man on it and I don't know how I feel about it.
