Stacking the Shelves #2

Stacking The Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews and is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

Paperbacks! Finally got them this week!

Shadow & Bone by Leigh Bardugo
Cinder by Marissa Meyer
Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein

I'm super stoked to actually have physical copies of these books, especially Cinder. The last time I bought physical books was....last year! Usually I just get everything on my kindle, but I love having actual books. I'm excited for Shadow and Bone, because I see it EVERYWHERE on Goodreads and other blogs. Code Name Verity is going to be a change from what I usually read (about the Holocaust), but I read basically everything.

For Review

Dragon's Bait by Vivian Vande Velde
The Twenty-One Balloons by William Pène du Bois

These books are very quick reads. I'm reading Dragon's Bait right now, and I'm currently loving it! Also I have to read the Twenty-One Balloons for book club, and it will be the last book of the year.

Feel free to leave comments and your STS!

  7. Ohhhh my gosh, first of all CODE NAME VERITY WILL RIP YOUR HEART OUT. The beginning is kind of slow, but the end...ohhhhh. I'm still scarred. *ahem* I loved Shadow & Bone and The Lunar Chronicles are probably my favourite series of ever at the moment. x) I hope you like them all! And your header...it's so stinkin' CUTE! Love the design. XD

  8. Shadow and Bone is such a great book! Cinder is too--I'm a bit sad that I got that one on the Kindle instead of in print. The cover is so gorgeous, and so are the covers of the rest of the series. I have Code Name Verity on my bookshelf but haven't read it yet. I bet it's amazing, though. :) I hope you enjoy your new books!

    1. Get it in print! I had it on kindle first as well, but then I saw that it was on sale and I couldn't help myself. Also I'm kind of disappointed that the cover from Amazon is different from the one on Goodreads, but it's not going to change my opinion of the book :)

  10. Great haul! I have Shadow and Bone & Cinder on my bookshelf waiting to be read, I am very excited to get to both. I have to admit to being one of the only people who really didn't like Code Name Verity; personally I thought it was really boring and not very realistic. But everyone else seems to love it so I am sure you will be fine. I hope you enjoy your books :) My STS.
