Top Ten Tuesday #61

Hosted by the Broke and the Bookish!

Top Ten Books I've Read So Far In 2015

I have read over 50 books already! And I'm so proud of that hahah. But yeah, I have a ton to pick from. Plus most of these are from 2015, which is cool because this is the first time I've kept up with all these releases hahah.

Emmy & Oliver by Robin Benway - The most down to earth, sad, FLUFFY book in the world. Don't believe me? Read it! I have yet to see a negative review!

Made You Up by Francesca Zappia - Alex and Miles are my new OTP. Everyone NEEDS to read this asap. I cannot recommend this enough.

A Darker Shade of Magic by V. E. Schwab - KELL! I want a Kell. I also wanna travel between the Londons. Even though they aren't nice. I guess I'll just like to stay in Red London!

All The Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr - THE FEELS. I can't believe the book just ended that way. If you have read The Book Thief and loved it, you will love this too!

Truthwitch by Susan Dennard - YES I DID READ THIS. YES I KNOW THIS RELEASES IN 2016. YES IT WAS GOOD.

Blue Lily, Lily Blue by Maggie Stiefvater - This series. I am very, very excited for The Raven King.

Golden Son by Pierce Brown - WHO HAS MORNING STAR. I NEED IT. I NEED IT. THE WAY THIS ENDED WAS HORRIBLE.

Pushing The Limits by Katie McGarry - My first Katie McGarry novel and I loved it! I have Nowhere But Here, which I will read soon!

Black Dove, White Raven by Elizabeth Wein - I only worship Elizabeth Wein and read everything she has written and will write. This wasn't as sad as Code Name Verity and Rose Under Fire, but still.

Mosquitoland by David Arnold - The quirkiest read that was just perfect for me! Though my dad did not like it. Haha. Well he thought it was just okay. I say trust my judgement more!

I have read some stellar books this year. And I have 50 more books to go!

Great list, Val! Emmy & Oliver is so high on my TBR. I came *this close* to picking it up at B&N last night but didn't. Soon, though. So agree with Pushing the Limits! I just *love* Katie McGarry. PTL was my first by her, too, and I immediately fell in love with Echo and Noah and their story. The whole PTL series is just wonderful. I have Nowhere But here, too, and will be reading it very soon!

YES TO GOLDEN SON! Wasn't it so kick-ass? I sweat that 50% of the time it felt like I was high on adrenaline. And that ending that pretty much crippled me... there are days I feel like Pierce Brown is the son of GRRM Martin with all his character killings, lol!

Gah, I haven't read any of those. *facepalm* But I have Emmy & Oliver and Mosquitoland on my TBR. Great list, Val! Those look like awesome books! :)

A DARKER SHADE OF MAGIC TOO. I've been recommended a few times and it sounds epic. Cover-wise me loves it hahahha. Awesome list, Val!!! <3 33

I almost bought Black Dove White Raven while I was at a bookstore, but didn't because my co-blogger and I are doing an exchange and it is on the list. >.< I should just take it off and buy it for myself already!! Along with Code Name Verity and Rose Under Fire because I don't actually own them and would love to look at them on my shelf.

WOW FOR 50 BOOKS, VAL, YOU ARE AMAZING. *O* I haven't even read half the books you've read already -- I'm at 22 right now and four books behind schedule, ughhh. And double wow for being able to keep up with all the 2015 releases! I know I still have ARCs from like 2013 and 2014 in my Kindle, ahahaha... Let's not talk about that. xD But I've read two books on your list! Yay?!

* Made You Up: was fantastic. I loved it so, so much and I'm so, so happy to see that it made your Top Ten.

* A Darker Shade of Magic: I STILL HAVEN'T READ ANYTHING BY VICTORIA SCHWAB CAN YOU BELIEVE IT. I know, I know, I'm terribly behind and terrible at reading books written by everyone's favorite authors. I have Vicious on my shelf currently, but I'm planning on bring it to college with me, so I'm saving it until then. I need to experience Victoria's magical characters so bad.

* Truthwith: AHHH, YOU LUCKY DUCK. Everyone's so pumped up for Truthwitch and the hype is infectious! I've only read one book by Susan Dennard -- Something Strange and Deadly, but it was really enjoyable and I hope I get to read her latest soon. The title sounds so fantastically cool. *O* (Seriously though. A 2016 ARC!)

* Blue Lily, Lily Blue: I'm saving up my money so I can get the complete series of The Raven Boys without depleting too much of my pocket money, lol. I've heard only amazing and emotional stuff about Blue Lily and everyone is dying over The Raven King's continuously changing release date.

* Pushing the Limits: YAY! So happy you enjoyed this one! It was one of the better NA books I'd read, and you ABSOLUTELY must read Dare You To. I liked it even more than PtL, honestly. :P

Awesome list, and keep up the great reading streak, girl!

IT MAKES ME SO HAPPY TO SEE PUSHING THE LIMITS ON HERE. WOOHOO FOR YOU FINALLY RECOGNIZING HOW AMAZING KATIE MCG IS.

A Darker Shade of Magic!!! WE ARE TWINSIES THERE. I also have a 2016 book on my list, one that you probably laughed at SINCE YOU DIDN'T LIKE IT AS MUCH AS ME.

I can't wait to read All the Light We Cannot See.

Wait. You only just read BLLB this year? Huh.

I LOVED LOVED Emmy & Oliver. At first, I DNF it but then I gave it another try and I just found it so fluffy & cute, I love the intense damilt drama as well. Made You Up was really good too!

I'm obviously VERY excited about seeing Blue Lily, Lily Blue on this list, but that might be because I'm a liiiiittle biased. ;D

I'm currently reading All the Light We Cannot See and I'm LOVING it. Such an amazing read. So well-written, and the characters are all beautiful. I was lucky enough to meet Anthony Doerr this weekend, and after meeting him I immediately started reading. He was such a genuinely sweet human being, and I'm always more excited to read books by wonderful authors. :3

A Darker Shade of Magic is a solid choice, and I'm so glad you have I'll Meet You There and Throne of Glass on this list, too!

I've heard so much about Emmy & Oliver! I'm adding it to my TBR now, although I'm not very often in the mood to read sad fluff haha. But just in case! Everyone loves the Raven Cycle series!! I want to start it, but I'm torn because I know it's not finished and I have so many finished series I want to read too.... Same for Truthwitch too hehe.
