Top Ten Tuesday #49

Hosted by the Broke and the Bookish!

Ten Books You Recently Added To Your To-Be-Read List

This is very, very straightforward. Oh and this is also from 3/28/2015, which is the day I wrote this post! I would like to thank everyone for making me add more and more books to my TBR. This TTT is dedicated to you guys. :P

City Of Savages by Lee Kelly - SAVAGES, SAVAGES, BARELY ONLY HUMAN. Okay I'll stop. Pretty sure I got this from Shannon's currently reading/read list or whatever. I don't even know what it's about (POCAHONTAS??) but I think she liked it. Or Wow I can't keep track of where these books came from ha.

Rook by Sharon Cameron - FRANCEEEEE. FRANCEEEEEE. DYSTOPIAN FRANCE! Oh and got this from Shannon's TBR again ha.

The Game of Love and Death by Martha Brockenbrough - Romeo and Juliet? Aimee shared this on her WoW and I was intrigued.

5 to 1 by Holly Bodger - Faye and Aimee's little discussion review got me excited for this INDIAN DYSTOPIAN! I requested it on NG but the chances are slim. I HAVE FAITH.

The Wrong Side of Right by Jenn Marie Thorne - Just been seeing this around the blogosphere. And it is interesting. Politics. Ha.

The Last Time We Say Goodbye by Cynthia Hand - Also another I've seen around, I'm pretty sure I was convinced by Cait to read this.

The Last Good Day of the Year by Jessica Warman - Requested this on NG without noticing the creepy teddy bear. Can't sleep now.

Hold Me Like A Breath by Tiffany Schmidt - Apparently this is a Princess and the Pea retelling...WITH CRIME. Requested from NG. I've already seen some reviews floating around though.

The Age of Miracles by Karen Thompson Walker - This used to be on my TBR, then I took it off, then Kelly convinced me to put it back on.

Split Second by Kasie West - I finished Pivot Point recently and yes I do want to get to the sequel!

Yep, those are all the books! Any ones you recognize?

Rook got me excited too, who can resist France, right?
And I also recently noticed 5 to 1. It sounds very intriguing. And India - yum. But I am still unsure if I should add it to my tbr. I need more reviews. ^.^

The Age of Miracles! Oh Val, I love that you've added it again. It's such a brilliant book. Another similar one, but with older characters and a more mature storyline is We All Looked Up. Similar premise as well. I'm loving contemporary apocalyptic. I've got The Last Time We Say Goodbye on my TBR as well. I really enjoyed her Unearthly series and can't wait to read that one as well. Wonderful list poppet, a little something of everything and well rounded <3

I've heard of all of these but haven't really been motivated to read them. *hides* I guess I'm just lazy. XD

I do really want to read The Last Time We Say Goodbye because I've heard SO MANY amazing things about it. Hopefully you like it. :P

SO many fabulous choices Val! I can't wait to read all of these - they all sound so unique and entertaining! I have read The Last Time We Said Goodbye and City of Savages and loved them both, so I hope you end up loving them as much as I did when you read them. <3 Thanks for sharing Val, and fab choices!

Aw, yay, I am glad you get ideas from me! Also, every single one of these is on my TBR, because I have problems, except for the one I am reading (Rook) and the one I already read (City of Savages). So yeah, your list is FABULOUS. We have wonderful taste in books ;)

The Game of Love and Death! Yes, I want to read that too. 5 to 1<3 I HAVE FAITH IN YOU, I BET YOU'LL GET IT BECAUSE I WAS APPROVED FOR IT AND I KNOW IF I WAS APPROVED YOU HAVE TO BE APPROVED BECAUSE OF REASONS….

I was also more interested in it after Faye and Aimee's discussion review which I only skimmed.

I'm so excited for The Wrong Side of Right<3 I purchased it, I love the political aspect.

Oh my gosh, I was so going to buy The Last Time We Say Goodbye last month, it was on my list and everything. Then music happened….and because it was a backlist book (and I had new releases, pre-orders and new music to buy), I had to push it to the side. :(

I'm scared about Hold Me Like A Breath, it sounded so good, then I read reviews, and I'm like "Mm….I don't think so", which really sucks. Because I wanted to buy two copies to get a necklace in the pre-order campaign….

Okay, I had started Split Second last month, but then it expired from my library, so I didn't read too much. However, it was pretty good, pretty good. We still need to figure out our review for Pivot Point….. Nice list, Val!

Rook looks so gorgeous, and yes, France! <3 So glad you added The Game of Love and Death because of me. ;) It looks so fantastic ahh! AND 5 to 1. I so hope you enjoy it as much as Faye and I did!! I just bought The Wrong Side of Right. xD Haven't gotten around to reading it yet though.. LOL, Faye and I absolutely HATED Hold Me Like a Breath.
