Stacking the Shelves #23

Stacking The Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews and is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

I'm finally going to read I'll Meet You There, which I've heard such amazing things about. And plus I'm sure there's more than one of you that want me to read it.

I also borrowed Messenger of Fear. I haven't read many reviews for it, but I like how it sounds so hopefully it doesn't disappoint.

And then, there's Sleepaway Girls, recommended to me by Lola for my fluffy read of the week. My review for it is already up, and although I found it fun to read, I don't think I'm the target audience (Ha 15 year olds)

Oh boy, Grasshopper Jungle. Guys, this books is INSANE, as in crazy "what the heck is happening". My review for that will be up soon, and I think it is something to look forward to. Ha.

To be honest, I didn't know how disturbing The Last Good Day of the Year was actually, so I have no idea how that is going to turn out. I may cry. From fear.

Absolutely nothing has happened! I have literally slept my life away! Even though I have been going to class and work and EVEN THEN I'm still sleeping. For some reason this jetlag is lasting longer than I thought it would. Or it's just me and my laziness.

I'm just happy that it's going to be spring....soon. Ha

YOU MUST READ I'LL MEET YOU THERE FIRST. I DEMAND IT. YOU HAVE TO.

Your three e-arcs sound interesting too, I love the cover for Hold Me Like A Breath, heard of Apple and Rain too.

Hope the jetlag goes away soon. :)

OK I WILL SOMETIME SOON. I just have a lot of eARCs to finish. AND HOW ABOUT YOU. THRONE OF GLASS. COME ON

I think the jetlag is gone now :)
AHH I NEED TO READ I'LL MEET YOU THERE! I've heard nothing but awesome things about it. I'm still looking for a hardcover from my favorite local bookstore, though. ;) Insane books are good too, which is why I should definitely check out Andrew Smith's stuff.

Yay, I got Hold Me Like a Breath too! I'm a bit hesitant to start it though, but I'll get around to it after I finish ACOTAR and Lion Heart. The Last Good Day of the Year looks so freaking creepy. The bear's face will haunt me all night.

I know how you feel! It's our summer vacation and I HAVE BEEN ASLEEP FOR FOREVER. >_<

Yes you should buy it, even though I haven't read it yet. Just buy all the books :) Andrew Smith, oh that book, it was very insane. You know what you would be getting yourself into right?

I JUST REALIZED THE BEAR WAS SO CREEPY WHEN I POSTED THE BOOK COVER ON HERE. I am forever scarred.

I want it to be summer here. Give me your summer Aimee
hahahahah yeah... recommended by Lola x) Well I'm glad you thought it was fun!!!

Definitely want to read I'll Meet You There and, depending on what you think of it, I might buy it! Otherwise I'll just borrow it too :)

I'm reading Hold Me Like a Breath and find it kinda meh honestly. :P

Anyway, enjoy!!

Yes it was a fun book!! (Now I need recommendations for contemporaries about conspiracies...?????? I don't know any books about that gah. Do you have another rec for meeee?)

I have no idea when I'll get to I'll Meet You There, hopefully sometime this week! I've heard good things about it :)

Ah that sucks. I kind of requested it without seeing what it was about, and crime is not really a topic I like. But we'll see :P Thanks Lola!
I have heard nothing but good things about I'll meet you there. I can't wait for Hold me like a breath, it sounds like a book I will really enjoy :D Happy reading!

That's good to hear! I hope I 100% love it then :) Thanks Mel!
I look at your picture of library books and see only the dog in the background. :P The cover for The Last Good Day of the Year terrifies me a little bit. Nope.

And I think I might be going crazy, because when I look at your sidebar, it is moving up and down starting at the Currently Reading section.

Hahah that's because Ollie is adorable. Hehe. And yeah, I don't know what I'm going to do about that book. Good thing I don't have a physical copy of it. I do not need that on my shelf. Nope.

I don't know how that is happening?????? It's not doing that to me???
Looking at it now, on a different computer, its all cool. I seriously thought I was going nuts. Maybe I was?!

Haha, sleeping your life away sounds like a good time! The Last Good Day Of The Year oddly intrigues me greatly.

Can't wait for your Grasshopper Jungle review, I've wanted to read the book for awhile but I've never been able to decide if it's something I'd like or not. =)

Hope you have an awesome week!

It is good. I love sleeping. And it intrigues you? Why. There is a scary teddy bear on that cover. I don't know why I requested it. I am terrified.

Hahaha oh man ok I need to get on writing that then. Be warned it's just going to be a big "wtf" hahahahha
YES go read I'll Meet You There immediately, and then report back! I am excited for Hold Me Like a Breath too, and I really want to read Apple and Rain and The Last Good Day of the Year, but I have to calm down with requesting stuff, sadly.

I am really excited for your Grasshopper Jungle review! I have it and need to read it so... yeah. I am also pretty sure I own Messanger of Fear, which I am curious about as well! Great haul!

Hope the jet lag gets better, that is no joke. The Hawaii jet lag is terrible. Like, the worst I've experienced. Somehow, coming back from Europe just wasn't as bad, but Hawaii was rough! (Maybe it is partly because you leave Hawaii and come back to the yucky northeast? Who knows!) Hope you enjoy the books!

I WILL. THIS WEEK. MAYBE. I will report back yes yes. Hahah yes I think you need to calm down. I should probably calm down too. I feel like I'm requesting too many books I don't like. BUT THEN I MISS OUT ON THE GOOD BOOKS?

I need to write that then! It's going to be wild.

I just got over my jetlag. It's horrible. I've also been to Europe and I wonder why that's a thing. Maybe because it's the opposite direction, and anyone can stay up later? I don't know. I've also been to China and it wasn't this bad.....
Fantastic haul this week Val! I've wanted to read I'll Meet You There for ages, I hope you really enjoy it! Some great review copies too. Apple & Rain is a really sad read, I hope you enjoy it. It was a bit too sombre for my tastes. Have a lovely week ahead Val!

Thanks Jazmen!
I haven't read any of these, but I've heard great things about I'll Meet You There - I hope you enjoy it!

Also, I just noticed your new picture on the side...it's SO pretty. It makes me feel very summery despite the fact it's like 17 degrees outside and raining.
