Top Ten Tuesday #79

Hosted by the Broke and the Bookish!

Top Ten New-To-Me Favorite Authors I Read For
The First Time In 2015

In other words, basically every single book I ever read. Here's a thing you need to know about me. I don't binge read an author all at once, I like to take a break once a while. Plus, most of the titles I've read is due to recommendations from others, or the synopsis, or just a genre I like. To be honest, I rarely read a book because an author I know wrote it (though I think this may change next year, I've discovered so many good authors I wanted to stick with)

BUT LOOK AT ALL THE NEW FAVORITE AUTHORS I HAVE!

Wow, this past year has been a really good reading year, now that I think about it. There's some here that I didn't even expect to love! Like Red Rising, Magonia, and The Kiss of Deception!

I definitely urge you to check out all these authors
I discovered this year!

Under a Painted Sky is on my TBR for this month actually! I'm really excited about The Love that Split the World, everyone is saying it's amazing! I read most authors you've mentionned, Victoria Schwab is one of my favourite authors of all times in fact :) Great pick for this TTT, have a nice week!

Thanks Grace! yes you can never forget Emmy & Oliver! I really hope the author keeps writing!
I read a lot more new authors than I realized this year too, even though I did read some I had come to like over the past year or two! Yay for all the new authors we discovered!

Yay! I hope the same thing happens next year too!
Our reading styles are kind of opposite. I'm such a binge reader! And when I was younger I would almost exclusively read my favorite authors, and do a lot of rereading in between new releases. I've branched out a lot since than, but I still love to read and binge entire backlists of authors. Lots of books on your list that I've been meaning to read, but haven't gotten around to yet!

I used to do that too though! (Meg Cabot, cough) But not anymore just because I want to branch out too muhahaha. You should read them allll!
V.E. Schwab is also an author that has been new to me this year. Another one that I love is Renee Ahdieh with her book, The Wrath and the Dawn. Absolutely love that book and it's one of the best debuts I read this year.

I just finished read The Wrath and the Dawn, and I totally agree with you!
AHH. Such great authors here Val! I absolutely adore Jessi Kirby, Robin Benway and Stacey Lee. Their books are all incredible and it just reflects on how amazing they are. <3 Thanks for sharing Val and, as always, fabulous post + choices! xx

Thanks Zoe! I cannot wait to read Stacey Lee's new book that's coming out next year!
I still need to read Emmy & Oliver, but I love Robin Benway's work! Jessi Kirby, too! Her debut, Audrey Wait!, is so GOOD. Stacey Lee's Under The Painted Sky was pretty phenomenal, too, and I so, so, SO need to grab a copy of The Love That Split The World, like, yesterday. Great list!

Thanks Peach! You should read Emmy & Oliver, it is super cute but also has a really important message to it. And do grab a copy of that! You will thank me later.
YOU HAVE MY FAVOURITE PIERCE BROWN. My gosh I recently read my review for Golden Son again and I just want to re-read it because it's incredible! I need to read more of VE Schwab's books and discover many of these you've listed. Wonderful post Val!
