Top Ten Tuesday #33

Hosted by the Broke and the Bookish!

Top Ten Books I'm Looking Forward to in 2015!

I actually never have purposefully looked for new releases on Goodreads, but thanks to these lovely lists Kaitlin @ Reading is My Treasure put together, I get all the new 2015 YA releases in one place! Seriously you should go check it out. --> Winter, Spring

Oh, I also only included books that have titles and book covers to them.
Liars Inc. by Paula Stokes - Because I read The Art of Lainey and I loved it!

Fairest by Marissa Meyer - Even though this isn't Winter (though that is coming out later in the year), I'm still excited for Levana's side of the story!

The Winner's Crime by Marie Rutkoski - I BOUGHT THE WINNER'S CURSE, and therefore that means I can add its sequel to my highly anticipated.

All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven - I've seen really good reviews and ratings for this, so I'm expecting a lot!

Solitaire by Alice Oseman - I've also heard about this too around the blogosphere. It's also been out for a while in the UK? But just releasing in the US.

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas - I don't care if I haven't read Throne of Glass yet, I'm still excited that Maas is working on a new series!

Ensnared by A.G. Howard - Again, I haven't read Unhinged but this is the last book in the trilogy (am I right? right?), and I want to know what happens. AND ALSO Morpheus!

A Darker Shade of Magic by V. E. Schwab - PARALLEL WORLDS! And also this is the same author that wrote Vicious! Not that I read that yet but it'll happen.

The Vanishing Throne by Elizabeth May - I NEED THIS SEQUEL SO BADLY. Everyone who read The Falconer will understand my pain.

Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard - Everyone is kind of obsessed with this? Maybe? So I'm going to hop aboard the hype train too.

GAH IT'S 1AM AND I'M STILL UP.

I am really excited for 2014 to be over (and also for Christmas to come), because I am so done with this semester. If you don't see me commenting tomorrow (which I won't be), it's because I'm finishing my paper on the syntax of French grammar.

What books are YOU excited for? Link up your TTTs for me please!

IM SO EXCITED FOR THE WINNER'S CRIME!!!!!!! Also, V. Schwab's new book sounds freakishly good. I haven't read any book of her, but this one really got my attention. Same with The Red Queen. Everyone's raving about it because of its premise! I'm also excited for it! Eeeeep! <3

Ahh okay I basically have to agree with all of these--particularly Liars Inc, The Winners Crime and A Court of Thorns and Roses. THERE IS SIMPLY JUST SO MUCH EXCITEMENT

Fabulous list you have there, girl! <3 3

Ooh, I want to read pretty much ALL of these!! A Court of Thorns and Roses sounds so awesome, and since Sarah J. Maas has written it, I'll read it :D And YES, MORPHEUS! I can't WAIT to read Ensnared, and as long as there's lots of Morpheus in all his glorious-ness, I'll be extremely happy. Awesome list, Val!

(The syntax of French grammar?? Best of luck to ya, Val! I don't envy you one bit, teehee! But in seriousness, hope you got through it Ok!!)

You've listed quite a few books in series I need to read/catch up on, including Winner's Crime, The Vanishing The one and Fairest. I'm so behind! :P

There are so many good books coming out next year. I'm definitely obsessing over Fairest and All The Bright Places already, I want them both so bad!

Ahhh, I need to read both The Art of Lainey and Liars, Inc. as I loved the author's Secret of the Eternal Rose trilogy that she wrote under the name Fiona Paul. I really hope you enjoy Solitaire! I read it and loved it. It feels like THE book of our generation. Like, I know HP is, but this is the book that people can read in the future to learn about our lives as teenagers hahah. I can't wait to read more from Alice Oseman. I'm reaaaally looking forward to A Darker Shade of Magic after reading the first 130 pages, and I want to read Red Queen and A Court of Thorns and Roses, too. I actually have an eARC of The Winner's Crime, so I should really get to that...I've heard some great things about it. AND ALL THE BRIGHT PLACES. That's definitely the book I'm most excited for.

I'M SO SCARED ABOUT ENSNARED. I just feel like, with Jeb's face on the cover, it's not bearing well for my little moth. *cries in the corner* Something totally EPIC is going to go down, though, I know it. A.G. Howard hasn't disappointed at all so far. XD ERMAGERD ALL THE BRIGHT PLACES IS AMAZING AND HEARTBREAKING AND I HOPE YOU LIKE IT AND I ALSO HOPE YOU CRY. <-- I am such a nice person.

French grammar? I'm so glad it's you and not me. The extent of my French is oui, croissant and baguette. Good luck poppet.

I'm so excited for some of these as well, Ensnared being the one that makes me giddy. I've already read The Winner's Crime and was lucky to receive ARC's of All The Bright Places and Red Queen as well. The ones I can't wait for is Conspiracy of Blood and Smoke and the third book in The 5th Waves series. It's going to be a huge year for YA. Thanks for sharing Val <3

Words can't describe how much I LOVE the cover for Fairest. I don't know, I just really like the face in the mirror -- AND THE CROWN. HOLY SHIT, LOOK AT THAT CROWN. IT'S SO FREAKING BADASS I CAN'T ASDJFKL;EWD I still need to read Scarlet (but I bought the book on Friday!) and Cress, though...

3. The Winner's Crime: I just bought The Winner's Curse, too! I should be able to fangirl with everyone very, very soon... And is it just me or am I the only one who doesn't love the cover for The Winner's Crime? The model's hair looks funky and it looks like a generic fantasy cover, honestly. :/

4. All the Bright Places: This one sounds so good, and it isn't often I fall in love with contemporaries based on their synopses. Crossing my fingers that it won't be a disappointment!

6. A Court of Thorns and Roses: Another cover I'm not too fond of, but it's Sarah J. Maas. Even though I haven't finished the Throne of Glass series yet, she's like one of the best YA fantasy authors out there. Nothing can go wrong, right?

8. A Darker Shade of Magic: AHHH, I HAVE VICIOUS ON MY SHELF AND AM DYING TO READ IT. But I was sold the moment I saw the cover and read "parallel worlds." Publishers seriously know the best ways to entice people... And also, I love the title. Magic is always seen as good and for fairies (Harry Potter shot that all down though, haha <3 ), so I'm looking forward to reading about this darker side.

10. Red Queen: The blurb for this one sounds like any old dystopian novel out there, in my opinion, but the cover is beautiful and it's been getting a lot of great reviews lately, so I went and downloaded the ARC into my Kindle. Even though I really shouldn't since I have books from January 2014 that still need to be read. SCREW THAT. I'm reading what I want, lol.

A side note: you're learning French? Impressiveee! And yeah, I'm totally waiting for 2014 to be over, too. This year was just full of disappointments in books and book slumps and exams and so much work (granted, the end of the year has been much better). Great picks, lovely!!

Haha, you can totally be excited for Winner's Crime now that you bought Winner's Curse ;-) And yes, so excited for The Vanishing Throne, I can't decide whether I want to buy the UK version just to read it!
I can't wait for the Winner's Crime, too. Have you requested it from netgalley? I got my eARC copy from there, maybe you can get it too because a lot of bloggers got approved for it! :D And pretty much yes to Sarah Maas. I'll read anything she and Meyer writes, gobble them up like candy. AND ALSO ALL BRANDON SANDERSON BOOKS!!!
