Top Ten Tuesday #87

Hosted by the Broke and the Bookish!

Top Ten Books Set Outside The US

Oh boy oh boy. But wait, I actually read a ton of fantasy. Does that technically count as well? I mean I will just see what I have on my shelf.

Can you guess which book goes to which country? They're pinpointed!

Also,

Have you read any of these yet? Better yet, travel to any of the countries?

VAL this was smart! I couldn't think of how I wanted to do this, and this is PERFECT and I am a little salty that I didn't think of it 😂

I have been to all of them, even Mars or whatever. Kidding. I have been to ummm France, Germany... I also cannot figure out where And I Darken is supposed to be from? : :S hrugs:: The only ones I have read are The Book Thief (which made my list, of course) and Cinder, which I kind of forgot about altogether, oops?

THAT GRAPHIC. Also I had The Falconer on my list, but I could not think of many more countries/books. Even though I have read 7 of the 10 on here. HAHAHAHAHAHA. I lied; it is only 6. why do I keep thinking I have read BDWR.

OHHHH love the map graphic you have here! Super smart and eye catchy :D I have Daughter of Smoke and Bone and Cinder on my list but instead of Anna and the French Kiss, I put Isla and the Happily Ever After because it's my favorite of all three ;) Sadly I haven't been to anywhere of it... I only ever went abroad once :( Also, And I Darken seems great and I'll put it on my TBR along with my endless lists :P Great post!

I still haven't finished The Incredible Adventures of Cinnamon Girl. I should probably do that tonight actually since I've had it out from my Uni library since last semester. Did you know I only live like two hours away from the place it's supposed to be set? DO YOU WANT TO COME VISIT ME NOW?

Oh I LOVE how you did the graphic! SO CLEVER, VAL...and so much work. XD haha. Dedication win! Oh I love The Book Thief so much. <3 It's on my list too. And And I Darken! YAYY. I'm seeing it around a lot this week and I'm so pleased. ... such an epic scary book with glorious characters I wouldn't want to stand 100kms near because they'd probably murder me. GOOD TIMES. :')

Awesome graphic lady. I have Anna on my list too. I keep seeing The Book Thief and feel I need to read it soon since I have wanted to forever. I totally forgot about all fantasy which was dumb. Great list!!

I love your map graphic! That is impressive and must have taken some time.

I have on of Elizabeth Wein's books on my list too though it is one of her Ancient Ethiopian books. I love all of her books, but I particularly like the way she writes about Ethiopia. It is so rare.

Both Daughter of Smoke and Bone and The Book Thief made my list too! Love them. I need to read And I Darken. I have seen several rave reviews for that one this week. Great list and I love your graphic!

Oooh! I love how you added the map Val! xD One of my favorite things about the Lunar Chronicles series is how amazing the settings are, so I'm glad to see Cinder on your list. And The Book Thief has an incredibly well-written setting as well. Thanks for sharing and, as always, fabulous post! <3

I like your graphic! Fancy! I decided not to include sci-fi and fantasy on my list just because I thought it would get too overwhelming! You have a nice range of genres represented though!

This is such a creative post Val! I love how you highlighted different countries matched up to their books. It's actually quite cool that lots of fantasy ones are set in different places too!

I've read quite a few of these, but have actually never travelled outside of Australia. I know, I know, it sounds pathetic but while people my age age either travelling or popping out small humans, we've been paying off a house and it doesn't leave much left to travel and pay your house off while you're still young. The US cover for Cinnamon Girl looks very manly. I love the graphic Val, all those little pins must have taken you forever. I will expect more graphics containing pins now.

Awesome post, loved it! <3
