Make Me Read It Readathon

Hello again! Apparently, due to popular demand, Ely @ Tea & Titles and I will again be hosting the Make Me Read It Readathon! Basically, this readathon allows your friends and audience to vote for what you'll be reading. This year, the readathon will be from July 9th to the 16th! So that will give you guys a month and a half to set up voting and polls and all that!

Here's some more information about the readathon, copied and pasted directly from last year's post because I'm a lazy bum hahah!

What Is This Readathon About?
Look at the books you own, either physical, e-book or ones you've borrowed from the library and pick out a few you really want to read, or feel like you should read. It’s up to you how many you pick, personally I'd pick a few more than you expect to be able to read in a week. Example: if you think you’ll only read two, pick out five books or if you think you can read seven, pick out ten.

Make a list of these books on your blog, or make a video, or a Goodreads shelf or post a picture on Instagram—whatever is easiest for you. Then get friends, other bloggers/booktubers etc. to vote on which books you HAVE to read.

When the readathon comes along, you read the books in the order of most votes. For example, if one book gets 10 votes—you read that first, then the one that got 7 and so on. If there's a tie, then it's your preference. The goal is to read as many as possible.

When Will This All Take Place?

The Make Me Read It Readathon will start at July 9th and end at July 16thYou can start once it hits 12am in your time zone. The readathon itself lasts for a week!

Since this is an interactive readathon, there is about a month and a half to get some kind of initial post/photo/video/etc. where your readers can vote for which book you read! You can either have a poll, or just rely on the comments, have votes count more than once, honestly this is all up to you! If you plan to participate, make sure you have all your books ready for July 9th!

And with that being said, time to set up my own poll!

Which Books Should I Read

Carry On by Rainbow Rowell
The Winner's Crime by Marie Rutkoski
The Nightingale by Kristan Hannah
Burying Water by K. A. Tucker
Confess by Colleen Hoover
The Immortal Heights by Sherry Thomas (The Elementals #3)
The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness
Liars Inc. by Paula Stokes
online quiz creator

WE ALSO HAVE A TAG. If you're on Instagram or Twitter, our tag will be #MakeMeRead! If you have any questions, leave a comment or email us! (My email is vlangloisx3@gmail.com)

I've been wanting to do a month of this, of simply letting my books be picked for me--mostly because I've been sucking at it. I can't wait to link up for this.

I HAVE to vote for The Winner's Crime Val, that series is absolutely brilliant and one of the best finales I've read as well. It might tear you apart so be prepared! This is an awesome challenge, this is one I'd like to sign up for as well actually, try to move some of those books I've had sitting there for ages that I haven't gotten around to reading yet <3 Looking forward to seeing what wins :)

omg I'm so excited you guys are doing this again! I need to be pushed into reading some books, like ACOTAR, so I WILL BE MAKING MY POLL SOONISH. But I'm only aiming for 3-4 books to read this time since 5 was apparently too much last year. Haha.

This is so fun! I had a great time doing this last year. I think I might be away running a camp that week, but I want to try to participate anyways :)

Thanks for organizing this for us!

Okay, I may have to sign up for this readathon. It sounds like so much fun! And seriously, I have so many books to read that it can be tough to figure out my next read. I love leaving that choice up to my readers. :)

And I voted for The Nightingale because it is AMAZING! I know how crazy you are about WWII books and this one is one of my favorites.

Yay. it's great you guys are doing this again. I've finally submitted my link now that I discovered this event is not happening until 'next' month. I hope I'll do better this time around as last year, I pretty much sucked. I've already voted for books I no longer remember.

Man, this is a tough one, but I would choose The Winner's Crime for your next read! I've just posted up the link to my blog here, so please vote for the book I should read next! :D

Ooh, I wish I'd known about this sooner! I already did a poll to have people choose which books from my classroom library I should bring home and read over the summer. I added it to the linkup, and if people go in and vote, I'll reorganize the 25 books I wound up bringing home. Either way, it will be great to have a week dedicated to plowing through some of them.

Oooh - I'm going to try this! I am desperately trying to decrease my current challenges, but what the hack. What is life if not for challenge thereof.... Will quickly make my post and link.
