Top Ten Tuesday #26

Hosted by The Broke and the Bookish

Top Ten Books On My Fall TBR

I was planning on skipping this week because I'VE BEEN BUSY (and I watched the Captain America: Winter Soldier movie instead of doing homework), but you know what? Screw sleep! Let me tell you about my planned reads for the season!

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas - This seriously needs to STOP BEING ON MY LISTS. Well, they will be. By October (this is bad because I keep on pushing the date further and further back)

Abhorsen by Garth Nix - It is actually super important that I get this right cover from The Book Depository. Yes, I am actually going out of my way to buy a cover from Australia to ship it to the US. I've already checked TBD, they have it, though not in stock because I don't think these covers are out yet. Even so, I am waiting. (I am a little obsessed, if you can't tell)

Lies We Tell Ourselves by Robin Talley - I'm actually reading this one next! Because it's being published in a week, and I've had this e-ARC for months! I'm actually super excited to read this :D

Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins - Wow. This is also on every list too. And I keep on pushing back when I want to read this. SHAME ON ME.

Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson - This is the next read in the Sanderson Cosmere Readalong! And apparently, Sanderson has this one up on his website to read for free, but I'm just going to buy a physical copy (when my money comes back to me) later this week. Because look at that beautiful cover!

Red Rising by Pierce Brown - Got this freebie from Netgalley due to the sequel coming out soon! Going to definitely read it in the next coming months or so!

Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut - This was on Amazon for only $2! So I decided to snatch it up (Thanks Paula!) because I've been interested in it ever since reading The Universe Versus Alex Woods.

Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo - I think it's finally time to read this one. I mean, I have it on my shelf

The Dream Thieves by Maggie Stiefvater - This is also going to be my next buy, and it's going straight into my Amazon cart. I actually requested Blue Lily, Lily Blue for the heck of it on NG, but I have a feeling nothing will happen HAHAH.

The Deep End of the Sea by Heather Lyons - I'm not sure if I'll get to this, but this has been in my TBR for a long time, and everything about it looks awesome!

OK time to go to bed!

goodnight guys :D

Firstly, The Winter Soldier is amazing so how could you be expected to do homework when it exists in this world? (I did the exact same thing). Secondly, you have so many awesome books on here. You HAVE to get to Throne of Glass and I know you get told this every time but I won't stop until you've read it. The Dream Thieves and Anna and the French Kiss are also awesome! And of course you'd buy the Australian cover- we're just amazing down here!

Oooh, that cover for Abhorsen is awesome *_* (in case TBD doesn't have it, you should check out fishpond.com, they usually have Australian editions and ship for free).

I LOOOVED The Dream Thieves (and the Raven Cycle in general). I'm so excited for Blue Lily to come out. Need to start my reread it.

Haven't read Warbreaker yet but yay! Brandon Sanderson! <3 Warbreaker is also on my list of books I still want to read this year.

Red Rising is one of my favorites this year. SO GOOD!

READ SIEGE AND STORM.

Since you clearly loved Captain America The Winter Soldier, are you an Agents of SHIELD fan? Season two starts tonight!

You are going to LOVE Throne of Glass and Siege and Storm Val! :D Both add such great quality to the YA fantasy genre, and you won't regret giving them a try. :) I am highly anticipating Lies We Tell Ourselves as well because most of the historical fiction I read is set during WWII or the women's right suffrage, and while there's certainly nothing wrong with those time periods, I'm loving the spice of originality this brings. Thanks for sharing Val, and GREAT choices! <3

I missed posting my TTT today, so I think I'll do mine sometime this week. Red Rising is definitely on my list as well. :D

Off you go to read Siege and Storm! Okay, now that you've read and loved it, we'll move along ;) I really want to read Lies We Tell Ourselves too, and I MUST read Red Rising, Throne of Glass, and Anna and the French Kiss. I figure you and I may be the last two people ever to read those last two, right? Great list, I hope you're able to read them all!

Awesome list Val, it reminds me that I need to read Red Rising too. I really hope you can get around to reading Anna and the French Kiss soon, it's just adorable and one of those fluffy feel good reads. I loved exploring Paris! I'm starting a Throne of Glass reread soon, I read book one forever ago and want to read the entire series now. Thanks for sharing poppet <3

So excited that you're planning on reading Throne of Glass! I've been meaning to pick up Siege and Storm forever.
I have been slacking on the memes lately... life is too busy

I had Throne of Glass on my TBR pile a month ago and just recently read it, and it was totally worth it! Anna and the French Kiss is another one that is definitely worth it as well :)

And also, I think watching Captain America is an appropriate way to spend your time (homework waiting or otherwise) haha.

Oh yeah I definitely need to read Lies We Tell Ourselves by the end of this year--the praise it's been getting is really promising and I love diverse books.

Awesome list there! <3 3
