Top Ten Tuesday #23

Hosted by The Broke and the Bookish

Top Ten Books I Really Want to Read But Don't Own Yet

This is literally my whole TBR list. Well, almost. But yeah, there are just tons of books I desperately want to read, but just don't have at the moment because of money. But here's my top ten books I need to get my hands on now, because I said so.

Abhorsen by Garth Nix - DO YOU SEE THAT NEW COVER???? Does anyone know when this cover will come out, or if it will be for a certain region (I hope not, please be for the US). The reason why I haven't read this is so that I can obtain this beautiful cover, and the rest of the matching set.

Clariel by Garth Nix - I want to preorder this, but I saw that the new cover is not part of the pre-order. So I will wait. And then I will buy it. AND OBTAIN THIS COVER TOO.

Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins - THIS WILL BE ON EVERY LIST simply because I have not read it and I have not bought it. I swear, the comments I get for not reading this yet.

Dangerous Girls by Abigail Haas - I've seen this everywhere and I really, really read it. But sadly I do not own it. *cries*

The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness - Basically anything by Patrick Ness. I don't own a single one of his books, and this makes me sad

All Our Yesterdays by Cristin Terrill - I want to read an amazing time travel book SO BAD. And it has to be good. Not like the Here and Now. God, that book, ugh.

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas - THIS WILL HAPPEN I PROMISE. Also the billionth time this book has been on my TTT lists as well.

The Little Prince (IN FRENCH) by Antoine de Saint-Exupery - I refuse to read this book unless 1) I have a copy of it, and 2) it's in legit, French (not the translated one, I want the original).

Talon by Julie Kagawa - I don't care that I didn't like her Fey series that much. I STILL WANT DRAGONS. I love dragons! AND TEEN HUMAN DRAGONS? yes. (This is what it is right?)

The Winner's Curse by Marie Rutkoski - I still have to read this, but have failed to obtain a copy of it anytime soon. Ah well.

Yep, that's about it! Feel free to link up your TTTs so I can visit :D

Or I'll just stalk you anyways no big deal.

Ahhh, Dangerous Girls is amazing. I hope that you can get your hands on a copy soon. It's well worth it! :-)

I'm really hoping those covers of Sabriel and Abhorsen will be available for the US! All I know is that they're the Australian editions. They're so pretty, so I want them too! Oh, and Talon! I really want that one too. All Our Yesterdays is a gorgeous book in print, but I haven't read it yet. :( Throne of Glass and The Winner's Curse are both really good.

I want Talon too because DRAGONS. I don't even know what the premise is actually just DRAGONS. And the cover is awesome. Creepy dragony scales there. What's not to love?

I keep seeing Garth Nix in the libraries but I have noooo idea where one is supposed to start with all his books so I shall research and read eventually. *sighs* I have too many books I want to read. Sometimes I go into the library and cry a little because I just can't devour EVERYTHING and I want to so badly. I really want to read The Knife of Never Letting Go too because of Patrick Ness. I've read 2 of his books this year and both have been adjfkslafjsl worthy and I'm TOTALLY sold on his writing. AND VAL. THRONE OF GLASS. GO GO GO. I READ DAUGHTER OF SMOKINESS SO YOU NEED TO READ THRONE OF GLASS.

I love Patrick Ness, so I encourage you to read The Knife of Never Letting Go. I'm looking forward to reading Talon, too!

And now I have to add "Throne of Glass" to my TBR list. Thanks!

I have quite a few of these on my list. I'm going to be starting Throne of Glass soon. Hopefully that goes well. I won't tell you to read Anna (Read Anna) because I know so many people already have (Do it). I really do hope you enjoy it if you do :P

Great list! I'm reading Throne of Glass now. It's great. I'm so eager to get my hands on Dangerous Girls too! Anna was pure adorableness and All Our Yesterdays was so intense! I hope you get to read these soon! :)

Ahhh, The Winner's Curse is AMAZING!! Throne of Glass is a must read. I have Anna but haven't read it yet... I really want to read (and buy) Dangerous Girls; I've heard tons of wonderful things about it. All these books have such nice covers :) I'd totally hang some of them on a wall XD I hope you get to read (and own) those books soon!

I think the Garth Nix covers might be Australian, but don't quote me on that. If the publisher is Allen & Unwin, they'll be for our region. I absolutely loved The Winner's Curse. If I could marry it and have baby novella's together, that book and I would live happily ever after. I've got an eARC of Talon and can't wait to start it, but I haven't read the Patrick Ness series either. I've only read one of his books, More Than This which was awesome, but I've gone off him after he started using Twitter to put down those who don't share his beliefs.

YESSSSS. YOU NEED TO READ ANNA AND THE FRENCH KISS!!! And we both really need to read Dangerous Girls!! I read the Chaos Walking trilogy last year, but I feel as though I skim-read the whole thing...I definitely need to read it again. All Our Yesterdays sounds so interesting. Unfortunately Throne of Glass disappointed me. :( I can't wait for Talon either! And I really enjoyed The Winner's Curse.

Great list, Val! :)

This is the part where I yell at you for not reading Stephanie Perkins' novels. Though Anna and The French Kiss may not be your thing I can assure you that anything Perkins writes is pure compulsive reading material. She also seems to have this talent to really bring you into the story and instill such depth that you truly FEEL for and with the characters. .... I may or may not have recently finished Isla and The Happily Ever After and am STILL dying over it. You gotta give this lady a try.

Dangerous Girls is also amazing (: It's such a thriller and I think it really stands out in the YA genre as being unique and omfg...THAT ENDING. I'm sure you have heard many rave and die over it. It's definitely worth all of the griping, read it. NOW :p I'd send you my copy but it tragically got water damage in my bag omg.

I'm with you on Patrick Ness. I really want to read More Than This, because omg. COVER LOVE~ (we all know I had to use ~ in this post). Also Throne of Glass is really such an amazing series. However it took me till Crown of Midnight to really fall head over heels in love. However, now that I have read Crown of Midnight I'm completely freaking out for Heir of Fire to come out.

YASSSS Talon. I adore Julie Kagawa, everything I read by her has been 3.5 and up. Now that her vampire series is done I'm totally ready for a new series. AND THIS IS ABOUT DRAGONS! Dragons are easily my favorite mythical creature, so this series is almost guaranteed to be a favorite of mine.

I've read The Winner's Curse. Ehhhh. I think the hype killed it for me sadly. I mean it wasn't a bad book by any means (a strong 3.5) but I still felt like my expectations were so high that I ended up feeling a bit disappointed.

I think we need to form a support group for amazing books that we're missing out on with being so busy.

You need to get The Knife of Never Letting Go and Dangerous Girls like, immediately. The Winner's Curse was good, but not on the same level as the others. So you know, if you have to prioritize, I would definitely pick those two :) I have All Our Yesterdays on my Kindle and still haven't read it, I really need to! I really need to get Anna and the French Kiss too.

THERE ARE SO MANY FANTASTIC BOOKS HERE! I absolutely loved Dangerous Girls, The Winner's Curse and Throne of Glass, and I hope you enjoy them as much as I did! <3 And the other books you've mentioned I've heard nothing but glowing reviews of, so I plan to read them hopefully soon! :D Thanks for sharing Val, and great choices! <3

You are killing me, Throne of Glass keeps making your lists, and you haven't read it yet!!

I didn't participate in this weeks TTT but if I had Winner's Curse would have been on my list too.

Great list! I'm really excited to see Abhorsen and Clariel because I love that series. I want to say those are the Australian covers.

Throne of Glass and Patrick Ness both made my list, though I chose More Than This instead of the Chaos Walking trilogy.

And yes, you should read Anna and the French Kiss. I don't typically like contemporaries, but I really enjoyed it. Such a cute story.

ANNA AND THE FRENCH KISS. READ IT! READ IT! (And yes, this is another one of those comments. :P)

And oh, Dangerous Girls is one that I really want to read. I've heard amazing things about it, and I love mysteries and books that are twisted. Throne of Glass! One that is on my wishlist as well. I neeeeed to find out why everyone loves that series so much. I can't wait for Talon--LOVE Julie Kagawa! I have both The Winner's Curse and All Our Yesterdays, and I don't know why I haven't read them yet. Gah, there is just not enough time to read all the books!

Woot, I'm not the only one who is dying for Talon even though I didn't love the Fey series, fingers crossed!
