Stacking The Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews and is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

The Walls Around Us by Nova Ren Suma - Thank you Algonquin Books for approving me for this March 2015 release! I know it's so far off! I liked the cover, but other than that I have no idea what it's about. Also, I can't send this to my Kindle, because Netgalley hates me?? Idk.
Red Rising by Pierce Brown - THIS WAS A READ NOW YES I AM SO EXCITED.
Melt by Selene Castrovilla - So Paula @ Her Book Thoughts gushed about this, so I will read it as well. It's also Read Now on Netgalley!
I recently completed the ALS ice bucket challenge today, while also donating $10 to the cause. ALS, also known as Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, which affects around 30,000 people in the US, by slowly shutting down their motor neurons. For anyone who doesn't know about the craze in the US, it's basically where you either dump a bucket of ice water on your head and donate $10, or donate $100. I chose the former, and although it was really cold, I did have a lot of fun! :P
(for more info, check out www.alsa.org)
Also, I did watch The Giver movie that recently came out a week ago. All I can say is that the movie was pretty good, if you disregard the book. Oh well.
Thanks for reading! Feel free to link up us usual!

OMG, MELT! Another book based on OZ. I love, love LOVE The Wizard of Oz and recently read and adored Dorothy Must Die as well. I had no idea that there were OTHER related books out about OZ too. Oh gosh, I'm so excited I can barely get words out. Me no speak.
I must have it. Thanks so much for sharing Val, otherwise I would have never had know about this one <3

Ohhh, I hope you like Red Rising! I read it SO LONG AGO. I kind of need to reread before Golden Son though. Can I just say I AM FREAKING EXCITED FOR GOLDEN SON?!! It's like one of my favouritest series ever and totally not like every other dystopian out there.

I'm so glad I got a copy of it on Netgalley. I remember it coming out a long time ago, and I was too new of a blogger to review an ARC of it. BUT NOW. NOW I WILL READ IT. Maybe they will have the sequel on NG too?

I knew Giver would deviate so far from the book. Ugh! I just knew it!

"All I can say is that the movie was pretty good, if you disregard the book." Haha! My thoughts exactly! ;) I was pretty disappointed by how much it deviated from the books (and they messed up the ending! *raises fist*). Oh well...
Thanks for sharing Val, and happy reading! <3

Hahaha I read the book in middle school, so I FORGOT what happened. I don't remember the ending.
zoesnicholson1 74p · 553 weeks ago
The ending is THE BEST part of the book; it's so thought-provoking. *sighs*

And yeah, I knew that The Giver wasn't going to be a good adaptation. But I did like how the beginning was in black and white because no one could see in colors.

The Ice Bucket Challenge--yeah, I'm not sure I'd be willing to dump ice water on my head. O_O I am sooo scared of the cold! And I want to watch The Giver already!
Thanks for sharing, and happy reading! :D
